The Zeron 100 Plates constitute an alloy super duplex stainless steel with increased combination of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and nitrogen. This special type of construction presents exceptional immunity to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and a chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Having 25% Cr, 7% Ni, 3.6% Mo and trace addition of W, Ni and N in a typical composition, Zeron 100 is not only more corrosion resistant than traditional duplex stainless steels but even some of the austenitic grades of stainless steel.

Zeron 100 Plates are hot-rolled or cold-rolled and further processed in order to improve their microstructure produced under the universally known standard ASTM A240 . This duplex microstructure includes an equal ratio of austenite and ferrite phase which provides high strength over regular varieties of stainless steel. The mechanical strength consists of minimal yield strength of 550 MPa and maximum tensile strength of 750 MPa, and excellent impact strength at even sub-zero temperatures.
