UNS S31700 and ASTM A213 standard compliant, Stainless Steel 317 is a type of austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum and has superior resistance properties compared to standard grades of 304 and 316. The superior resistance to pitting, crevice and general corrosion in acidic and aggressive chloride environments is due to the presence of a considerable amount of molybdenum.

The chemical make-up of Stainless Steel 317 has around 18% chromium, 11% of nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, making the material highly performant in chemical environments and strengthening it at higher temperatures.
Adinox Overseas produces Stainless Steel 317 Seamless Tubes by employing sophisticated extrusion and cold drawing methods that make them possess a uniform structure, close dimensional tolerance, and fine surface finish. The seamless tubes are suitable for applications under high pressure and conditions requiring high purity, like in pharmaceutical and chemical processing. SS 317 Welded Tubes produced by us are precision-welded and subjected to post-weld annealing to make them stronger mechanically and against corrosion and are thus fit for use in structures and applications under low pressure.
We are extremely proud of our strict quality control system applied to the whole process of manufacturing. Each SS 317 tube has to go through a number of quality tests like hydrostatic testing, eddy current testing, intergranular corrosion testing, and third-party inspection. These tests guarantee exceptional durability, immense resistance to wear and corrosion, and complete efficiency in each and every type of application in the industry. Tubes are also provided with proper documentation like mill test certificates in accordance with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 standards.
