The lower carbon level in SS 310S minimizes the risk of carbide precipitation on welding and hence makes it suitable for applications involving uniform heat exposure and strength stability. These pipes contain a balanced mix of a high amount of chromium and a medium quantity of nickel and provide very good resistance against oxidation at a temperature of up to 1040°C in continuous operation.
